Alexander Neu studied Business Studies at the University of Cologne, specializing in auditing and taxation.

During his studies he worked as an intern and subsequently as an assistant in an auditing and tax advisory firm. His focal areas were the fields of

• audit of annual financial statements for small and mid-sized businesses,
• advice and auditing for non-profit institutions and companies,
• Digital (bulk) data analyses with AIS TaxAudit, IDEA, ACL, and InfoZoom,
• Introduction of electronic bookkeeping and ERP systems.

Mr. Neu was appointed a tax advisor in 2004, and an auditor in 2008.

Since 2008 Mr. Neu has been a lecturer in auditing at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. He is also a member of the working group "Forum for IT Auditing Experts for SMBs" at the Institute of Public Accountants (IDW) and advisor to the IDW Academy on the topic of "Risk-oriented Auditing of the Internal Control system and the IT Systems in SMBs".
