Professional liability insurance
IT AUDIT GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft maintains a professional liability insurance policy which is required under section 54 WPO with HDI-Gerling Firmen and Privat Vers. AG, Postfach 10 24 64, D-50464 Köln.

The territorial scope of the insurance cover (AVB WSR 558) extends to activities in Germany, other European countries, Turkey and countries in the territory of the former Soviet Union including Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

Cover extends to liability claims

• brought before the courts of these countries and
• as a result of an infringement of or non-adherence to the law of these countries.

As regards countries not named above, cover extends to liability claims that arise

• from commercial auditing activities if the retainer is governed solely by German law, and
• from commercial assistance in tax matters that relates to tax law of countries not named above if the retainer is governed solely by German law.

In both cases any insurance payout shall be limited to the minimum insurance amount specified by law.

Global cover applies for claims from activities performed by branches or local offices overseas up to a maximum of the minimum insurance amount specified by law.

Terms and conditions of retainer

The General Terms of Engagement for Public Accountants and Auditing Firms dated 1 January 2002 shall apply.
